Black Bear has boarded international sales for the Christmas horror film ‘White Elephant’ from Eli Craig (‘Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil’)
Via Deadline, Black Bear is taking on international sales for the Christmas horror film, White Elephant, ahead of Cannes.
Here’s the logline: “Eight friends. One prize. Zero trust. Their annual festive holiday gift exchange spirals into a cutthroat game of Christmas carnage.”
Nick Jonas and Kathryn Newton (Freaky, Abigail, Ready or Not 2), KJ Apa (Riverdale), Madeleine Arthur (Devil in Ohio), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Ashley Park (Emily in Paris), Alexandra Shipp (Anyone but You), and Justice Smith (I Saw the TV Glow) star.
Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil) is directing from a script by JT Billings (“Are You Afraid of the Dark?”), having completed additional writing himself for the project.
Considering the filmmakers and cast involved, White Elephant is gearing up to sound like a gift we can’t wait to unwrap.
MRC is the studio financing the film. Spencer Berman and Nick Jonas are producing for Powered By Jonas, along with William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt for Project X, Tyler Gillett, and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (Radio Silence). Exec producers are Billings, Ryan McDonough, Amanda Drake, Newton, Scott Levine, and Chad Villella.
