A trailer has dropped for ‘The Summoning’, a supernatural horror film inspired by the likes of Bloody Mary and bringing your doom this June.
You cannot get me to say Candyman or Bloody Mary in a mirror five times. I can’t do it. Won’t do it. No thank you. Silly superstitious fear as it is, it’s one that countless others experience…and that horror films love to tap into. That’s the case in the trailer for The Summoning, a supernatural take on a similar challenge involving a character dubbed “Baby Blue”.
In the trailer, we get a glimpse of numerous stretchy-mouthed entities, creepy kids, and an imposing figure that I’m assuming is Baby Blue. I’ll admit, I laughed out loud when I learned characters must say “Baby blue, blue baby” a whopping thirteen times in the mirror to summon the entity. That seems…excessive. But hey, Baby Blue makes the rules, not me.
A babysitting gig becomes a nightmare of urban legend when three teens summon Baby Blue. Survival depends on uncovering the past to escape a mother’s wrath from beyond the grave.
Valeria San Martín, Justina Ceballos, Daniela Flombaum and Agustín Olcese star.
The film features a whole team of directors, including Sergio Gonzalez, Brandon Piskorik, Corey Benson Powers, Brian Sepanzyk and Felipe Vargas.
Camilo Zaffora penned the script.
