EXCLUSIVE: Happy Death Day‘s Jessica Rothe is worried about her memories returning in this exclusive clip from Affection, a gonzo psychological horror film that’s absolutely bonkers.
In the film, Rothe plays Ellie Carter, who has never met the man who calls himself her husband, doesn’t recognize the girl who calls her mother, and can’t remember the life she is told is her own. Afflicted by violent seizures that reset her memory without warning, she is trapped in a cyclical nightmare, struggling to uncover the horrifying truth of her existence before she forgets it all over again.
We reviewed the film last year: “With its strong performances and a script which keeps you guessing and leaves you shocked by its revelations, Affection is a sci-fi horror film which you will certainly be remembering for a very long time,” writes David Gelmini.
Rothe, known for her starring role in Happy Death Day, leads the cast alongside Joseph Cross (Lincoln) and Julianna Layne (Scrap).
The film is written and directed by BT Meza, who also produces alongside Bay Dariz, Austin Walk and JP Ouellette under the Superconductive banner. Christian Henderson and Christy Walker serve as executive producers.
Affection arrives on VOD this June 5 from Brainstorm Media.
