Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity) has partnered with two AI production studios, Artlist and Secret Level, to develop a feature film titled Terrarium, reports Deadline.
Terrarium is currently in production and is written and directed by Jason Zada, best known for the horror The Forest and the viral short Take This Lollipop.
The film is described as a “hybrid horror feature.” It is being produced by Christina Lee Storm (Newborn) for Secret Level. Artlist will serve as the financier and Executive Producer on the film.
“What drew me to Terrarium was Jason,” Schneider said in a statement.
“He has a rare ability to make audiences experience something they can’t explain, something that stays with them long after the lights come on. With Terrarium, he’s pushing into completely new territory. The way he’s making this film is unlike anything I’ve been a part of in twenty years of genre filmmaking.”
Artlist is a creative AI technology platform for video production. Secret Level is an AI-native entertainment studio.
“This partnership is an incredible milestone not only for Artlist, but for the future of filmmaking itself,” Artlist Co-Founder and Co-CEO Ira Belsky said in a statement.
“Terrarium is proof that AI can enhance the creative process in ways that empower artists, directors, designers, and storytellers to dream bigger and execute at an entirely new level. This is about expanding creative possibilities and not replacing human imagination.”
