The box office is on fire, and each and every genre film is throwing a heater. Even though horror is straight-up dominating, there’s an ultra-violent, extremely gory action film that’s going to kick open doors and knock audiences on their asses: Lionsgate’s The Furious.
Lionsgate is king of the brutal action flicks, and the studio behind John Wick is bringing the hammer down with The Furious, an ultra-violent, extremely bloody masterclass that has critics celebrating it as the best action movie in years.
The premise is simple: a little girl is kidnapped, and the father is god damn furious. You know the saying, a father’s scorn knows no bounds.
Heading into theaters on June 12, the action flick is building strong word-of-mouth and early box office buzz, signaling yet another surprise breakout hit.
The film is rated R for “strong bloody violence and language,” and believe me when I say the film delivers everything it promises.
Directed by Kenji Tanigaki, The Furious breaks some bones in just a few weeks…
