One last trailer for the sixth entry in the ‘Scary Movie’ franchise has released, telling audiences to just see the f-ing movie.
The sixth entry in the hit Scary Movie franchise created by the Wayans Bros. is nearly upon us. With that, Paramount Pictures has released one final trailer that just wants you to see the fucking movie.
In it, we see GhostFake reenacting the sunken place scene from Get Out as he stirs tea, sending Shorty (Marlon Wayans) on the greatest high of his life. Additional clips follow, with the trailer assuring it won’t spoil anything, before telling audiences to just see the fucking movie. It’s a play on how so many trailers give you the whole damn movie now. Frankly, I wish more trailer just told viewers to see the damn thing instead.
You’d better believe I already have my tickets.
For those keeping count, here are some of the movies lampooned in Scary Movie: Terrifier 3, Weapons, Sinners, A Quiet Place, Halloween, Annabelle, MA, Get Out, The Substance, and M3GAN – it even takes multiple jabs (or stabs, if you will) at the new Scream films, which is the main reason the 2000 Scary Movie is so damn good.
Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
Paramount Pictures will release Scary Movie in theaters everywhere on June 5.
