Miss ‘Ready or not 2’ in theaters? Don’t worry. You’ll soon be able to walk down the aisle with the bloody sequel on Hulu this July!
I’m a big fan of Radio Silence’s (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett) furious middle finger to the one percent, Ready or Not. A hilarious, edge-of-your-seat bloodbath, it left audiences roaring and gave Samara Weaving the starring role she deserved. Unfortunately, the filmmakers couldn’t quite capture that magic with the sequel in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (in my opinion). But, if you’re one of those who missed it in theaters, we’ve learned you can stream the film this July on Hulu and Disney+!
Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world.
The loaded cast also features Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett return to direct, with a screenplay by Guy Busick & R. Christopher Murphy.
In his review of the film for Dread, Josh Korngut wrote, “the sequel doubles down on the original film’s pitch-black humor, leaning even further into the outrageous comedic instincts that helped to make the original such a hit. The results are mostly successful.”
