Lulu Wilson, Freddy Carter and others have joined the cast of sci-fi horror ‘Do Not Open’, said to be inspired by ‘Videodrome’.
Lulu Wilson (Becky), Freddy Carter (Five Nights at Freddy’s), Mark McKenna (Overlord), Stelio Savante (Death House), and Jeremy Gauna (1923) have joined the sci-fi horror film Do Not Open, reports Deadline this morning.
They join Jada Jay, Diletta Guglielmi, and singer-songwriter John Ford Coley.
Said to be inspired by films like Christine and Videodrome, the supernatural horror flick is set inside a remote Texas storage facility, “a place of forgotten story, abandoned memories, locked metal doors, and lives people tried to leave behind.”
Now, I’m not exactly sure how either of those films ties into the above premise. That said, I adore both (Christine was actually my first horror movie), and if Do Not Open can come close to capturing the atmosphere of either, I’m all in.
Kristian McKay (Kill Trip) will write/direct the project.
Daunesh Alcott executive-produced the film. McKay and Stelio Savante are on as producers through McKay’s production banner, Obscura Film.
While we wait to see Do Not Open, you can check out McKay’s upcoming film, Kill Trip, releasing July 17th via Quiver Distribution.
