Bon appétit! All three seasons of Bryan Fuller’s critically acclaimed ‘Hannibal’ are returning to Netflix this July.
Created by Bryan Fuller and based on characters from the mind of Thomas Harris, “Hannibal” was unceremoniously cancelled after just three seasons, despite critical and audience praise. And while we’re still sitting here wishing for it to return, it sounds as if Netflix will at least bring the series back to the service this July.
An expansion of the world of Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), a brilliant doctor with a taste for human flesh, the NBC series blew audiences away when it debuted in 2013. Mesmerizing performances from Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy (Will Graham), paired with Fuller’s direction and loads of stunning, disturbing imagery, it seemed as if everyone had fallen in love with the show. Yet, low viewership eventually doomed the series, and NBC cancelled it before the end of season 3.
Netflix then picked the series up in 2020 before removing it.
Now, we’ve learned that the entirety of “Hannibal” will return to Netflix on July 27th.
Still haven’t seen the series? Get ready, because this July, you’re in for a bloody treat. Bon appétit!
