Michael Biehn Teases ‘Onslaught’: “Pedal-to-the-Metal Action, Horror, and Violence”

When the first trailer for Adam Wingard‘s Onslaught dropped, it looked like exactly what the title promised: a relentless barrage of action, horror, and violence that almost felt like a long-lost cousin to The Terminator.

As it turns out, Michael Biehn had a similar reaction long before cameras ever rolled.

Speaking with Daily Dead, the Terminator and Aliens star said reading the screenplay was “about as close to The Terminator as anything I’d ever read before,” praising it for its “very strong, unstoppable” antagonist and calling it “an action horror movie with space for actors to work.”

Biehn admitted he wasn’t initially familiar with Wingard’s work, but said the filmmaker reached out personally, sharing how much Aliens had influenced him. The two have since become friends, something Biehn says has made the experience even more rewarding.

After seeing the finished film, however, Biehn’s excitement only grew.

He told Daily Dead that Onslaught is “without a doubt, the best movie I’ve been in since Aliens,” adding that while classics like The Terminator, Aliens, and Tombstone have already cemented his legacy, he’s thrilled to be part of what Wingard has created.

Biehn also reserved special praise for co-star Dan Stevens, calling him “the best actor I’ve ever worked with, except I worked with George C. Scott,” before adding that Stevens is “unrecognizably brilliant” in the film. He also singled out , calling her “just dynamite,” and said the entire cast delivers.
