The countdown to the biggest ‘Terrifier’ yet begins, as Damien Leone confirms ‘Terrifier 4’ will be like part 2 on steroids.
The Terrifier franchise isn’t exactly known for subtlety. The films following the murderous adventures of Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) all relish in excess, with all of the gore and violence audiences can handle. So, it should excite fans when creator Damien Leone assures that Terrifier 4 will go even further than previous entries.
While we’re not sure exactly where the quote came from, the filmmaker took to X to repost an image that claims, “Damien Leone promises that Terrifier 4 will be like part 2 but on steroids“.
The director reposted the image with the comment, “oh yeah,” all but confirming it.
I want you all to think about what that means.
With Terrifier 2, Leone went bigger, bolder, and bloodier, delivering a slasher film with a runtime of over two hours and scenes of violence that live in infamy amongst fans (that bedroom scene, sweet baby Jesus). It also introduced Lauren LaVera as series hero, Sienna, leading to a brutal showdown between the two.
To think that Terrifier 4 will somehow go even bigger and bloodier? Hell. Yes. Leone is about to make it rain blood like the opening scene of Blade. Get ready.
So far, we know the sequel will take place around New Year’s Eve, with a plan to release theatrically in 2027. Based on Leone’s comments, I think we can expect Art to have himself a very slash-happy New Year’s!
The countdown to what sounds like the most insane Terrifier film yet begins now.
