A spinoff of Joe Begos’ ‘Jimmy and Stiggs’ is on the way in ‘Burger Night: Luli, Magda & Lore’, with an all-female cast.
An Argentine spinoff (or rather, reimagining) of Joe Begos‘ (Christmas Bloody Christmas) neon-soaked alien invasion film, Jimmy and Stiggs, is on the way, and Variety reports the film has found its all-female cast.
Argentina’s Agostina Palazzolo (Ciclón), Agustina “Papry” Suásquita (Envious) and Maia Tarcic (Letters to My Ex) will lead the cast of Burger Night: Luli, Magda & Lore.
Filmed on 16mm, Jimmy and Stiggs “follows estranged friends Jimmy—an unemployed filmmaker convinced aliens once abducted him—and Stiggs, his now-sober former collaborator, as they reunite to confront what they believe is an imminent extraterrestrial invasion.”
Director Sebastián De Caro‘s take follows new characters battling the same extraterrestrial threat in Argentina.
Matías Orta co-wrote the script with De Caro.
Executive producers are Pablo Guisa Koestinger and Meg Thomson, alongside Eli Roth and Begos. Jimmy and Stiggs released in theaters in 2025 via Roth’s label, The Horror Section.
Said De Caro, “I am thrilled with the cast — these are women of extraordinary talent, true cinema lovers, brave and wild. They are going to surprise everyone. Each one understands her character perfectly and they all fell in love with the original material.”
