A cringe-worthy new clip for ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ will make you feel bad for the dentist for a change.
I’m not sure there’s anyone who actually likes going to the dentist. Personally, I hate it. And, yes, I do always think of Corbin Bernsen from The Dentist when I go. But, in a new clip for Insidious: Out of the Further, audiences may actually feel bad for the dentist for once.
In it, we see star Amelia Eve performing a routine exam on an older patient…one who suddenly reveals a second set of chompers that make a root canal sound pleasant.
In Insidious: Out of the Further, Evestars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe.
Jacob Chase (Come Play) directed the sixth installment in the long-running franchise.
Lin Shaye reprises her role as series star Elise.
Insidious: Out of the Further has been rated PG-13 for “strong violent content, bloody images, terror and some strong language.”
The rating suggests the latest installment will continue the franchise’s tradition of delivering intense supernatural scares while remaining within the PG-13 confines that helped make the original films such massive box office successes.
Insidious: Out of the Further arrives in theaters on August 21, 2026.
