Pulse-Pounding ‘Fall 2: Deadpoint’ Trailer Will Leave You Holding Your Breath

The full theatrical trailer is here for Fall 2: Deadpoint, Lionsgate’s high-stakes survival thriller, opening in theaters on September 2.

In the film: “Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Harriet Slater) connects with Luce (Arsema Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend. To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.”

The trailer delivers everything you’d expect from a Fall sequel, looking packed with the kind of low-budget thrills this franchise is known for. It appears exhilarating and suspenseful, content to be a straightforward thriller that prioritizes entertainment over complexity.

Beyond that, the trailer reveals one pleasant surprise: it appears to tie directly into the first film. One of the young women who travels to Thailand is apparently related to a character from the original movie, making for a fun Easter egg for returning fans.

I was a big fan of the first Fall, and after watching the trailer, I can’t wait to see this one.

Directed by Jigsaw and Predestination filmmakers Michael and Peter Spierig, the film has been rated PG-13 for “strong language, some violent content/bloody images and drug material.”

The second installment in the breakout franchise that stars Harriet Slater (Tarot), Arsema Thomas (“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”), and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).
