A new trailer has arrived for Bleecker Street’s Victorian Psycho, and it’s every bit as blood-soaked and delightfully unhinged as you’d hope.
Fueled by punk rock attitude and wickedly dark humor, the latest look embraces the film’s gleeful chaos, positioning Maika Monroe as a deadpan, dangerously charismatic antihero who feels like a Victorian-era answer to Christian Bale‘s Patrick Bateman.
The trailer is an end-to-end blast, packed with stylish carnage, razor-sharp psychotic banter, and enough bloody mayhem to suggest this one is more interested in having fun than playing by the rules. As our own Cannes review put it, Victorian Psycho is “out for blood, and here for a good time”—a quote Bleecker Street proudly features in the trailer.

Directed by Zachary Wigon, Victorian Psycho is based on Virginia Feito’s novel of the same name, with Feito adapting her own work for the screen.
Set in Victorian England, the gothic horror follows an eccentric governess who arrives at a remote manor, where increasingly strange events lead the household to suspect she’s hiding something far more sinister than anyone imagined.
Ahead of its release, the MPA officially rated Victorian PsychoR for “strong bloody violence and brief sexual material.”
