Universal Studios Japan Announces ‘Resident Evil: Requiem – The Dive’ Haunted House

Along with a stunning Resident Evil Licker popcorn bucket, Universal Studios Japan has announced that the fan-favorite survival horror franchise will be getting a haunted house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, dubbed Resident Evil: Requiem – The Dive.

Wow News Today reports that the house will have guests “relentlessly pursued by hideous creatures that will make you want to cover your eyes, with unpredictable attacks coming from the ceiling, from your feet, from all directions!”

Inspired by the latest RE game, Resident Evil: Requiem, the story for the house revolves around FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who has disappeared while investigating mysterious deaths at the Wrenwood Hotel, abandoned at the outskirts of Raccoon City. Guests go in to search for her among zombies.

Resident Evil: Requiem – The Dive will take guests through the back alleys of the hotel before moving inside, where they’ll discover all sorts of terrifying monsters. Making guest appearances are, of course, Grace and Leon S. Kennedy.

Japan gets all the best stuff when it comes to theme parks, I swear.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Japan. With the park recently announcing its first-ever R-rated house, it’s shaping up to be a year to remember.
