With ‘American Horror Story’ season 13 on the way, creator Ryan Murphy has assured that there’s still more to come with the series.
Not long ago, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Season 13 was a tribute to every season, describing it as “like the Avengers”. That might’ve sounded like an endgame-sort-of premise to some, but the filmmaker promises there will be more.
While speaking with THR, Murphy was asked if he has more AHS stories in him. He replied, “American Horror Story is an interesting thing, because some seasons I’m very involved and some I’m not involved at all or some I’m halfway in. Brad Falchuk and I created that show together, and we worked on it this year together. And [showrunners] Ned Martel and Charlie Carver were our lieutenants on the crew who did a wonderful job.”
Continued Murphy, “I have a great passion for that show, and [FX boss] John Landgraf has a great passion for that show. It’s a very important show in my career. It’s something that John said, ‘As long as you want to keep making them, I’ll keep airing them.’ That’s always been the idea behind it, which is very empowering.
Season 13 is not the end; I’m working on season 14 as we speak in terms of, ‘What’s the idea?’ and ‘Who wants to be in it?‘”
There you have it. It sounds like as long as Murphy wants to keep doing it, AHS will keep going. What season 14 could entail, we have no idea, especially after a massive season like 13. But it should be exciting for fans to know he’s already working on figuring that out.
Created and produced by Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the 13th season of the hit series features a cast list that’s insane:
- Ariana Grande
- Sarah Paulson
- Evan Peters
- Angela Bassett
- Kathy Bates
- Jessica Lange
