Finally, the “protecting the home front” posters introduce Eric Wareheim as Kovacks and Reginald VelJohnson as Josiah, with the latter getting perhaps the best tagline of the bunch: “He’s too old for this sh*t.”

The whole campaign has a wonderfully scuzzy, pulpy ’80s action movie aesthetic that feels perfectly suited to what Wingard and longtime collaborator Simon Barrett are cooking up.
A24’s official synopsis reads: “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”
Adria Arjona leads the cast, with Stevens, Wareheim, VelJohnson, Biehn, Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Hall rounding out one hell of an ensemble.
As I noted when the latest trailer dropped, Onslaught looks like Wolfenstein, The Terminator, and Friday the 13th smashed together into absolute mayhem.
Onslaught unleashes hell in theaters September 4, 2026, from A24.
