Jason Voorhees Revealed in First ‘Crystal Lake’ Character Poster
Peacock has released a series of new character posters for A24 and Brad Caleb Kane’s upcoming ‘Crystal Lake’.

There he is.
Peacock has released a series of new character posters for A24 and Brad Caleb Kane’s upcoming Crystal Lake, and one of them gives us our very first look at young Jason Voorhees in the new Friday the 13th prequel series.
Callum Vinson plays Jason, while another poster spotlights Linda Cardellini as his mother, Pamela Voorhees. Peacock previously confirmed both castings, but this marks our first proper look at Vinson transformed into the young horror icon.
Of course, this isn’t the hockey mask-wearing killer who would eventually become one of the biggest horror icons on the planet. Jason didn’t even get his trademark hockey mask until Friday the 13th Part III.
Crystal Lake takes us back to the tragedy that started everything.
The series picks up nearly a year after young Jason tragically drowned at Camp Crystal Lake, with Pamela unable to shake the grief of losing her son. When two strangers arrive at her door, digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion that will eventually put Camp Crystal Lake on the map for all the wrong reasons.
Fans of Sean S. Cunningham’s original Friday the 13th already know where Pamela’s story ultimately leads. As Cardellini recently teased, we’re essentially watching the descent of a grieving mother who ultimately becomes the killer responsible for the massacre in the groundbreaking 1980 slasher.
Kane, who previously worked on IT: Welcome to Derry, serves as creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the eight-episode series.
There’s something genuinely surreal about finally seeing Jason again. While this is a very different version of the character from the hulking killer we all know and love, Crystal Lake is digging directly into the mythology that created him in the first place.
And now we finally have a face to put to young Jason Voorhees.
All eight episodes of begin streaming on Peacock .
