Jason “Voorhees” is continuing his march through pop culture, with the Jason Universe announcing two more collaborations this week, including a pretty wild partnership with Pabst Blue Ribbon and a brand new Fortnite figure from NECA.
First up, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Horror Inc. are teaming for a massive fall promotion built around Jason and the upcoming Crystal Lake series from Peacock and A24. The centerpiece is a limited-edition PBR 12-pack that doubles as a Jason Voorhees costume: the packaging can actually be cut apart and worn as a hockey mask!
And PBR is going all-in. The collaboration includes apparel, glassware, bobbleheads, tap handles, tackers and koozies, along with New York Comic Con nightlife events, Crystal Lake watch parties on October 15, retail displays and a nationwide sweepstakes offering fans the chance to win enormous three-foot Jason Voorhees bobbleheads.
Meanwhile, NECA is turning Jason’s recent video game appearance into a collectible with the Fortnite x Jason Universe – Fortnitemares Jason Voorhees 7” Scale Action Figure.
Based on his appearance in the 2025 Fortnitemares “Jason Universe: Revenge” set, the fully articulated figure includes interchangeable hands, a machete, axe and the “Crystal Lake Life Preserver” Back Bling. The life preserver magnetically attaches to his back and can even store his weapons. There’s also a special code included to unlock the Vengeance Seeker Wrap in Fortnite.
And look, I love Jason. I’m happy that Jason Voorhees is back in the cultural conversation and that Crystal Lake is finally coming. But holy shit, the Jason Universe is everywhere.
Fortnite. Pabst Blue Ribbon. Angry Orchard. Toys. Clothing. Video games. Beer boxes you can wear on your head. It increasingly feels like we’re getting the Temu Jason Voorhees lifestyle brand while still waiting for the real Jason to properly return to the screen.
At this rate, Jason Universe condoms and Crystal Lake diapers can’t be far behind.
