‘Cloverfield’s’ Odette Annable to Star in Horror Film ‘Postmortem’
Odette Annable of ‘Cloverfield’ will star in the horror film ‘Postmortem’ from the director of ‘Quicksand’.

Odette Annable (pictured above in Cloverfield) is set to star in horror film Postmortem, reports Deadline.
Also included in the cast are Allegra Leguizamo (Tin Soldier), Julio Cesar Cedillo (Sicario), Andres Londono (Fear the Walking Dead) and Tony Revolori (Scream VI).
Here’s the official synopsis: “Helena (Annable), a forensic medical investigator overwhelmed by grief following the death of her husband Richard (Londono). When she becomes obsessed with a disturbing new case, Helena begins to believe she can bring Richard back, setting in motion a series of terrifying consequences.”
When will movie characters learn to stop messing with the dead? At least have Insidious‘ Lin Shaye with you if you’re going to do that.
Andrés Beltrán (Quicksand) wrote/directed the film.
For those who don’t recall, Annable played the girlfriend of Cloverfield‘s main protagonist. She also appeared in the horror film The Unborn.
Producers are Jason Cherubini, Roberto Urbina and Martin Ramos of Cinestesia Films. Serving as executive producers are Luisa Velosa, Alma Hernandez-Hercules, John Harris, J. Todd Harris, Marc Marcum and Thomas Pettinelli.
Sublimity Entertainment is launching international sales at TIFF.

The film is currently in post-production.
