Well, here’s one for the Godzilla fans.
Atari and original developer Pipeworks have resurrected their 2002 kaiju arena fighter Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee with a full remaster for modern consoles.
And we’ve got a new trailer showing it off.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered brings back the monster-on-monster brawler with completely remastered visuals, gameplay updates, quality-of-life improvements and, most importantly, all-new online multiplayer.
The game features 12 playable monsters, each with their own melee attacks, ranged energy blasts and special Rage Mode strikes.
You can beat the absolute shit out of your friends across eight different locations, each featuring day and night variations, including real-world cities, Monster Island and an alien Mothership.
And because you’re playing as giant monsters, the environments themselves are weapons. Players can pick up and throw buildings and other landmarks during battles.
In addition to local Versus and Melee modes, the remaster adds online multiplayer for the first time.
Atari also says the game’s unlock system has been overhauled, allowing players to unlock monsters, locations and gallery items in whatever order they choose.
Originally released for Nintendo GameCube in 2002 before arriving on Xbox the following year, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee became a fan-favorite kaiju fighter and eventually spawned follow-ups Godzilla: Save the Earth and Godzilla: Unleashed.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered arrives November 3, 2026, and is available for pre-order now.
