It’s a pretty perfect bit of timing. Scream turns 30 this December, and Lillard has spent the year having one hell of a reunion with the franchise. He returned in Scream 7 earlier this year, albeit through the film’s AI recreation of Stu, while an alternate ending that would have revealed the character was actually still alive was shot and ultimately cut.
Now he’s going back on the road with the movie that started the whole thing.
Thirty years later, Stu Macher is pouring Ghost Face vodka and hosting Scream screenings.
I’ll drink to that.
