Mondo’s New ‘Real Ghostbusters’ Figure Set Brings One of the Cartoon’s Creepiest Monsters to Life

Mondo continues to absolutely crush The Real Ghostbusters with its 1/12 scale figure line, and this latest release immortalizes two classic characters in action figure form.

Everybody deserves a chance to bust ghosts, and this time it’s Louis Tully suiting up.

Mondo has revealed The Real Ghostbusters – Louis Tully & Grundel 1/12 Scale Figure Set, a massive Timed Edition pairing Louis with the nightmare-inducing Grundel and Alec. The set is priced at $202.

For those who grew up watching The Real Ghostbusters, the Grundel is a particularly great deep cut. The creature appeared in the 1987 episode “The Grundel,” written by J. Michael Straczynski, in which young Lee Meredith turns to the Ghostbusters after his brother Alec begins behaving strangely. They eventually discover that the Grundel is corrupting Alec and slowly transforming the kid into another Grundel.

Mondo recreates that storyline with a 7.2-inch Grundel figure, three interchangeable portraits and a separate mutated Alec accessory figure. Louis stands 5.9 inches tall and comes loaded with Ghostbusters gear.
