‘Until Dawn 2’ Launches January 28, 2027; New Trailer Reveals More Horrors Awaiting the Dead True Crew

Sony and Games have announced that Until Dawn 2 will launch for PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2027, with pre-orders opening September 10.

The news comes alongside a new pre-order trailer that offers a much better look at the sequel’s story and the deadly choices awaiting its new cast.

Until Dawn 2 follows the fake ghost-hunting YouTube team “Dead True,” who begin by investigating Blackwood Sanitorium and the tragic events that unfolded there 12 years earlier. After an encounter at HorrorCon in Sydney with Yoona (Gia Kim), a survivor of a supernatural attack, the crew is drawn to Akishima Island, a remote South Pacific island abandoned following the mysterious shutdown of a luxury resort in the 1970s.

According to Firesprite, the island is hiding secrets “centuries old and hungry for vengeance.”

The game’s story was crafted in partnership with AdHoc Studio, creators of Dispatch, with Firesprite promising “a deeply layered story packed with rich characters, razor-sharp dialogue, fraught relationships, tough decisions, and yes… more than a few gruesome deaths.”
