Dinosaurs are invading your living room.
The End of Oak Street, the sci-fi survival thriller from David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake), arrives on Digital for premium purchase and rental tomorrow, September 15.
The film stars Anne Hathaway (The Witches) and Ewan McGregor (Doctor Sleep) as parents whose neighborhood is ripped out of suburbia by a mysterious cosmic event. Stranded somewhere unknown, the Platt family must stick together to survive their surroundings. And, unfortunately for them, those surroundings are crawling with prehistoric predators.
Maisy Stella (My Old Ass) and Christian Convery (Cocaine Bear) also star in the Warner Bros. release, written and directed by Mitchell and produced by J.J. Abrams. You can find viewing options on the film’s official website.
We’ve been talking quite a bit about this one here on Dread Central, particularly its willingness to make dinosaurs genuinely terrifying again. In his recent editorial, Chad Collins described the film as “a full-on slasher movie with all manner of dinosaurs,” praising Mitchell’s ability to bring the creeping dread of It Follows into a suburban monster movie.
