‘Crystal Lake’ Image Sends Linda Cardellini on a Machete-Wielding Rampage

Linda Cardellini (The Curse of La Llorona) is ready to let loose in a new Crystal Lake image from Empire Magazine, which finds her Pamela Voorhees in full rage, raising a machete over her head.

The exclusive photo accompanies an interview with creator and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry), who promises Cardellini fully embraced Pamela’s murderous side.

“She really did let loose and went full kill-crazy rampage, and the result is pretty glorious,” Kane tells Empire.

Kane says Cardellini was his first choice for the role, with the actress finding her own approach to the character.

“Linda was very excited about the possibility of taking on such a massive character in the horror pantheon, and she looked at the twists and turns of the story and found her own unique way in,” he explains.

Following this weekend’s full trailer reveal, all eight episodes of Peacock and A24’s Friday the 13th prequel arrive October 15.

The series follows Pam nearly a year after her young son Jason drowned. Still consumed by grief, she finds her life disrupted when two strangers arrive at her door asking questions about her past, setting off a disturbing chain of events.

The cast also includes William Catlett (Abigail), Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins (Shades of Blue), and Gwendolyn Sundstrom (Evil), with Callum Vinson (Chucky) playing young Jason.
