We have our first trailer for social media horror film ‘The Influencer Project’, depicting the terror of being an influencer.
Set for release next month, today we have the official trailer for The Influencer Project.
In it, we watch as star Chiara King is stalked by a masked madman who has become obsessed with her online persona. The trailer strikes at a very real (and terrifying) reality of stalking, harassment, and danger that comes with having a presence on social media.
“Influencer Chiara King travels to Copenhagen with a documentary crew promising an unfiltered look behind the glamorous business of online fame. But as the cameras and her devoted fans follow her every move, someone else is watching too. When an obsessive stalker begins closing in, the documentary mutates into something far more terrifying, blurring the line between content and evidence, follower and predator, fact and fiction.”
King stars as a fictionalized version of herself, alongside Luca Storm, Mike Nybroe, Jazmine Summer, and Alexandre Willaume.
Mike Nybroe directs his feature debut from a script he co-wrote with Lars Ap and Anders Jon Petersen.
Eduardo Sánchez and Gregg Hale, the minds behind the original The Blair Witch Project, produced the film. Additional producers include Alex Hertzberg and Ahmet Zappa of Hades Films. Executive producers are Steven Greenberg, Konstantin Othmer, Gadi Harel, and Adam Burger.
The Influencer Project influences audiences when it arrives in theaters on October 2nd.
