Universal has released a new BTS video for ‘Other Mommy’, in which the cast/crew describe the terrifying title character.
Other Mommy is…well, she’s all sorts of nightmares molded into one, as described by the cast/crew in a new BTS video from Universal Pictures.
Based on Josh Malerman’s Incidents Around the House, Other Mommy follows Bela, an 8-year-old girl living in a home strained by marital problems, who comes face-to-face with a sinister entity emerging from her closet. The presence, which she calls “Other Mommy,” becomes an increasingly terrifying threat to both Bela and her family.
The film stars Jessica Chastain (It Chapter Two), Jay Duplass (Transparent), Arabella Olivia Clark (Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere) and Dichen Lachman (Severance), with James Wan producing alongside Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.
Other Mommy opens exclusively in theaters October 9, and tickets are now on sale. Universal released a creepy new promo last night, followed by a brand-new full trailer this morning, both featuring Jessica Chastain (Mama, It Chapter Two) as a mother and the monstrous double tormenting her family.
