Lionsgate has released a final trailer for ‘Beware Boiúna’, teasing one mean mother of a giant snake movie.

Beware Boiúna hisses into theaters soon via Lionsgate. To celebrate, the studio has released a final trailer teasing one mean mother of a giant snake movie.
The survival horror movie comes from director Mike P. Nelson, who has already built himself a nice little résumé in the genre with Wrong Turn, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and his “No Wake” and “Ambrosia” segments from V/H/S/85. This time, he’s heading deep into the Amazon with Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day), Kiana Madeira (Fear Street), and Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade).
According to the official logline, “Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.”
Personally, I think the trailer shows a little too much of the goods Beware Boiúna has to offer. And it has plenty.
In my review, I wrote, “Beware Boiúna takes the crown as the meanest, bloodiest, scariest giant snake film to ever slither onto screens.” I meant it. Granted, it’s not a high bar to cross in a sub-genre where Anaconda has long been considered “the best” (a movie I adore, mind you). But Nelson’s film is by far the scarier, bloodier, and meaner of the two.
The film has already earned an R rating for “bloody violent content, some grisly images, and language.”
Beware Boiúna slithers into theaters October 2, 2026.
