‘Trick ’r Treat: Witching Hours’ Trailer Sends Sam Into Outer Space!

Jason did it. Leprechaun did it. Pinhead did it. Now it’s Sam’s turn to take horror into outer space.

Legendary Comics has released a new trailer for Trick ’r Treat: Witching Hours, previewing four original stories set in Michael Dougherty’s Halloween universe. And while there’s plenty of spooky shit happening back on Earth, getting a taste of Sam’s intergalactic adventure is easily the highlight.

For anyone who grew up with Jason X, Leprechaun 4: In Space, and Hellraiser: Bloodline, there’s something hilarious and weirdly comforting about another horror favorite leaving the planet. This one immediately brings those movies to mind. Sure, Sam’s doing it in comic form, but I’m absolutely here for it.

Jason did it. Leprechaun did it. Now Sam’s going to space. 🎃🚀

As we reported earlier this month, Witching Hours arrives October 13 from Legendary Comics, distributed by Simon & Schuster. The graphic novel’s four stories were previously announced, and the trailer now offers a closer look at the nightmares waiting inside:

• “One Last Halloween” — Lonely nursing-home residents summon the spirit of Halloween for one final celebration, with frightening consequences.
• “Did You Miss Me” — A man returns from the dead to spend Halloween with his wife, only to discover a horrifying secret.
• “Harvest Moons” — Kids on a conservative space colony discover that leaving Earth behind doesn’t mean Halloween has lost its power.
• “Halloween Country” — Three Wyoming ranch hands interrupt an occult ritual and find themselves hunted by a half-formed creature from Halloween folklore.
