‘Blair Witch’ Director’s ‘Portrait of God’ Is Now at Lionsgate; Chase Infiniti to Star

After breaking out with the Best Picture winner One Battle After Another, Chase Infiniti will next star in the mysterious horror feature Portrait of God, which hails from rising director Dylan Clark, says THR.

Clark wrote the script with Joe Russo. No plot details were available, but sources describe it as a “new twist on religious horror.”

Portrait of God was once set up at Universal, but the studio quietly let it go earlier this year, making it available for Lionsgate to move in and greenlight it.

It has a high flying list of producers, including Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell) for Ghost House Pictures and Jordan Peele (Get Out, Nope) for Monkeypaw, marking the first time the two horror maestros have collaborated.

Also producing are Ghost House’s Rob Tapert and Monkeypaw’s Win Rosenfeld, along with Russo. Romel Adam and Jose Cañas oversee for Ghost House. For Monkeypaw, Chris Rosati is executive producing thru his first look deal at his NAT20 Films banner.

Clark is a rising new filmmaker, who came up by posting his high-horror short films to YouTube that amassed millions of views. That got him Hollywood’s attention, and before Portrait, he will make his feature directorial debut with the reboot of The Blair Witch Project for Lionsgate and Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
