‘New Group’ – Shudder Dates ‘Best Wishes to All’ Director’s Bizarre Horror Film for November

Shudder has announced it will unleash Yûta Shimotsu‘s (Best Wishes to All) horror feature New Group on the service this November. Shocking no one, it looks weird as fuck.

Here’s the official synopsis: High school student Ai sees her world collapse when a strange cult-like mentality gradually turns people around her into mindless followers who can transform simple gymnastics routines into a nightmarish dance of death.

Shimotsu stunned genre fans with his odd and incredibly creepy debut feature, Best Wishes to All. New Group looks to carry that torch, blending gymnastics with zombified students for what looks like one of the strangest horror films you’ll see all year. Of course, I’m very into it.

Anna Yamada, Yuzu Aoki, Ren Komai, Danhi Kinoshita, Arisa Sasaki, Kano Rogers, Jun Hosoi, Ryo Matsumoto, Tomomitsu Adachi, Natsuko Sakakura, Takashi Shimizu, Tomoya Maeno, and Taki Pierre star.

Become part of the New Group when it releases on Shudder on November 6th.
