I was just as surprised as both performers when I first learned the origin, as well. Though, that’s mostly because I thought it was just a random cool noise as a kid. They’re right that, once you learn what inspired it, it makes the sound all the more creepy.
Fans will hear plenty of it once Crystal Lake returns soon.

From A24 and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry), the Friday the 13th prequel stars Linda Cardellini (The Curse of La Llorona) as Pamela Voorhees and follows the disturbing events surrounding the town after her son’s drowning.
