The cast continues to grow for the upcoming Scream 7. After news that “Core Four” actor Mason Gooding would return, Deadline reports that “Hysteria!” actor Anna Camp has joined the cast.
Scream 7 is currently slated to slash into theaters on February 27, 2026.
Character details remain as under wraps as the plot, which means that it’s not clear who Camp will play in the seventh installment. The actor recently starred opposite Bruce Campbell in Peacock’s delightful horror comedy series “Hysteria” as well as recent horror movie From Black.
The cast for Scream 7 also thus far includes Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Sam Rechner (The Fabelmans), Asa Germann and Isabel May. Isabel May is playing Sidney Prescott’s daughter, with the upcoming sequel expected to largely bring the focus back onto Sidney and her family.
Courteney Cox is expected to return as Gale Weathers, but still has yet to officially sign onto the project. Gooding’s return as Chad Meeks-Martin has also driven speculation as to whether Jasmin Savoy Brown will reprise her role as Chad’s twin, Mindy.
Franchise originator Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original Wes Craven film, will direct from a script by Guy Busick.
Scream VI delivered a franchise-high domestic gross that exceeded $108 million in March 2023, with the franchise films collectively amassing $900 million worldwide at the box office.
Producers are Project X Entertainment’s James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein.
