XYZ Films has released a bonkers trailer for pregnancy horror film ‘Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant’, birthing ooey gooey madness later this month.
Things are about to get real, real weird.
XYZ Films has announced that the New Zealand body horror comedy Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant, will be released later this month. Along with the announcement, they’ve shared a trailer for the pregnancy-genre movie, and it looks nasty…just the way we like it.
The film follows Mary, a messy millennial underachiever who accidentally becomes alien-pregnant and has to face skeptical doctors, a useless baby daddy and her oversharing mother in order to survive and reclaim her life.

Hannah Lynch (The Rule of Jenny Pen), Yvette Parsons (What We Do in the Shadows), Arlo Green (Shortland Street), and Jackie van Beek (co-creator of Australian The Office) star.
New Zealand filmmaking duo Thunderlips wrote/directed the film, an expansion of their 2024 short Help, I’m Alien Pregnant. It marks their feature directorial debut.
Body horror. A tentacled penis. Loads of green goop. Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant looks like a deliciously gross riot, and I am here for it.
In his review for Dread out of Sundance, Josh Korngut described the film as “gooey, chewy, and radically honest body horror”.
Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant lands on Digital/On-Demand October 27th via XYZ Films.
