The presenters for the 2026 Fangoria Chainsaw Awards have been announced, including Lin Shaye, John Kassir and many more!
As a horror fan, I never put too much stock in things like the Academy Awards. Genre films have traditionally been ignored during awards season, much to the annoyance of myself and legions of fans. That’s changed a bit over the last few years, but not enough. And that’s where the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards come in.
The award show presented by our friends at Fangoria is where horror gets the recognition it deserves. Every year, the Chainsaw Awards recognize achievements in genre film that others like the Academy pay little to no attention to. Variety has just announced who will be presenting the coveted Chainsaw Awards this year, and it’s a stacked lineup of fan favorites.
Devon Sawa (Final Destination) will host the ceremony. He’ll be joined by talents such as Lin Shaye (pictured above in the Insidious franchise), John Kassir (voice of the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt), Patrick Brice (Creep), and many more.
Some of the films nominated this year include 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple and Dust Bunny, which the outlet notes are tied for the most nominations with nine.
