‘Henry’s Ebb’, the imaginary friend horror film starring Kingston Rumi Southwick has been boarded by Bridge Independent.
Bridge Independent has come on board for the imaginary friend horror film Henry’s Ebb, reports Variety.
The film “follows Henry, a boy who flees his troubled home in search of the father he barely remembers, accompanied by Ebb, the imaginary friend Henry created to help him survive a tumultuous childhood. But as their journey leads them through the backroads of the American South, Ebb’s protection becomes increasingly controlling, forcing Henry to question the companion he has always trusted.”
You know, the more horror movies about imaginary friends there are, the more thankful I am that I didn’t have one.
Kingston Rumi Southwick (Widow’s Bay), Banks Repeta (The Black Phone), Ashley Shelton, Will Holland, Rebecca Koon and Austin Willard star.
Thomas Mendolia wrote and directed the film, marking his feature debut.

Said Mendolia about Elkin, North Carolina, where the film was shot: “Elkin exists in my mind as both magical and painful, and that duality felt essential to the story. I wrote it around real locations from my memory, and knew that shooting here was crucial. Henry moves through a world that is full of wonder, but also shaped by the complicated lives of the adults around him. Setting the film there allowed those two feelings to coexist in the same space.”
Producers are Lucas Ford and Joey LePage of Ford Films. Tony Tehle and Irina Slepneva serve as co-producers.
Henry’s Ebb will make its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
