The casting news for Scream 7 continues this week, with Deadline reporting over the weekend that Sam Rechner (The Fabelmans) has signed on to star in the Spyglass sequel.
Deadline notes, “No word on the character he’s playing.”
Sam Rechner played Logan Hall in Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, a high school bully who targets the main character. He also starred in the TV series “Heartbreak High.”

The cast for Scream 7 also thus far includes Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott alongside Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Asa Germann and Isabel May.
One thing we do know is that Isabel May is playing Sidney Prescott’s daughter, with the upcoming sequel expected to largely bring the focus back onto Sidney and her family.
The seventh installment will slash into theaters on February 27, 2026. Courteney Cox is expected to return as Gale Weathers, but we don’t yet have official confirmation on that.
Original Scream writer Kevin Williamson will direct Scream 7.
