Well Go USA has announced that Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho‘s zombie film, Colony, will arrive on 4K UHD/Blu-ray on December 15th.
Colony marks Yeon’s return to the zombie thriller genre, following survivors trapped in a quarantined building during an infection outbreak, battling ruthless infected beings.
Written by Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, the film follows Professor Se-jeong as she is thrust into a terrifying hellscape when a mutating virus is unleashed during a biotech conference, forcing authorities to seal the facility to contain the outbreak. Unable to escape, Se-jeong and a group of survivors must fight to stay alive as the infected undergo horrific transformations and threaten to spread the virus.
Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Ji Chang-wook star.
In his review, Dread’s Chad Collins described Colony as “ferocious, terrifying, and a new zombie classic”.
I haven’t seen it yet myself, but it looks awesome, and I trust Chad’s opinion more than most.
