‘Get Rid of It’: Daisy Ridley Leads New Pregnancy Horror

Star Wars: The Force Awakens and We Bury the Dead‘s Daisy Ridley is set to star in the new pregnancy horror film Get Rid of It, THR reports ahead of the forthcoming AFM.

She stars alongside Sosie Bacon (Smile, Family Movie) and Simon Rex (Red Rocket, Scary Movie 3) in the horror project, directed by Ry Russo-Young (Before I Fall), from a script by Gemma Holdway.

Ridley will play Harper, who discovers she is pregnant after a one-night stand with a drifter named Miller, played by Rex. Bacon will play Harper’s sister, Jessie. The sisters set out on a cross-country road trip and find themselves fighting for survival when they learn that what is growing inside Harper may not be human.

“This project’s strength is its compelling point of view and heart beneath the horror,” Russo-Young said. “I’m thrilled to bring it to life with such an extraordinary and gifted group of collaborators.”

Production is scheduled to begin at the start of the first quarter of 2027.
