Anvari previously said of the project, “I treasure the opportunity to collaborate with Rosamund and Matthew, two hugely talented actors who I’ve long admired, on Hallow Road. I believe we can create something emotionally intense, and charged with uncanny terror, that nevertheless taps into something relatable to all families. I can’t wait to bring Will’s wonderful script to life with this brilliant team.”
Deadline also notes that the film was shot in Ireland and Prague in November 2023, just two months after it was announced that Anvari had been enlisted to helm the official Cloverfield sequel. News has been extremely quiet on that front, so the status of that sequel isn’t clear. Here’s to hoping Hallow Road might bring a firmer update there.
Now that first look images at Hallow Road have arrived, expect to hear more about this psychological thriller soon.
