Scream Factory Partners With Vidiots To Celebrate 13 Years Of Scares

Scream Factory’s been around for a chilling thirteen years, and to celebrate the unlucky anniversary, the video distributor is going big. They’ve just announced that they’ll be hosting multiple activations and celebrations next month, ranging from screenings to giveaways and more.
Everything kicks off with a special anniversary event at the popular cinema/video rental store hybrid Vidiots in Los Angeles. On September 19, audiences will be treated to a happy hour from 4-7pm, followed by a screening of the 1978 film Piranha, featuring a pre-screening Q&A with director Joe Dante at 7pm. Scream Factory will also be debuting their 4K restoration of Day of the Dead immediately after, and Vidiots will also host a Scream Factory pop-up store featuring popular releases and photo opportunities.
Fans who can’t make it or aren’t based in Los Angeles can also participate in the celebrations by entering to win their total horror collection, including 130 4Ks, Blu-rays, SteelBooks, and box sets, including the complete Halloween, Child’s Play, and Friday the 13th franchises, fan favorites and deep cuts from the archives. You’ll also be able to catch a marathon of thirteen classic horror films on Scream Factory TV on September 19-21, including Hush, The Slumber Party, and more.
For physical media collectors and those who want to celebrate their anniversary in a more concrete way, the vendor is hosting a “13 Days of Scream” sale on their website, running from September 18 to October first, leading up to their annual Shocktober sale. In addition, Scream Factory is partnering with thirteen independent video stores across the United States to celebrate the brick and mortar stores that keep horror and physical media alive.
