WEAPONS Sprints To Streaming On HBO Max Next Week

A month after hitting digital, Zach Cregger’s hit film Weapons is finally coming to streaming. HBO Max confirmed today that the horror film, starring Julia Garner and Josh Brolin, will hit the streamer on October 24, with a linear premiere on HBO on October 25 at 8PM ET.
Also starring Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan, Weapons earned $266 million at the global box office on a budget of $38 million, earning plenty of praise from critics and fans alike, and not doubt inspiring Aunt Gladys Halloween costumes the world over. Cregger wrote and directed the film about young children mysteriously fleeing from their homes at 2:17AM, with Brolin executive producing alongside Michelle Morrissey, and producers Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules.
Weapons is Cregger’s fourth film as director and second horror film, following up on the success of 2022’s Airbnb-gone-wrong film Barbarian, starring Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgård. He also produced Drew Hancock’s directorial debut Companion, and is set to direct a new Resident Evil film, which will star Weapons alum Abrams and be set in the same universe as the popular video game series, while telling a separate and unique story.
In addition to premiering on HBO Max, Weapons is also available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, for those who want a deeper look into the film. Special features on the physical version of the film include a deep dive into the story’s origins with Cregger, an exploration of the cast of the film and how their characters interconnect, and a featurette on designing the sinister town of Maybrook, where the film is set.
Weapons is available on digital now, and premieres on HBO Max on October 24.
