Anne Hathaway Is A Pop Star In Peril In First MOTHER MARY Trailer
David Lowery (A Ghost Story, The Green Knight) makes a triumphant return to genre cinema with Mother Mary, the upcoming psychosexual pop diva thriller starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, with A24 dropping the twisty first trailer today.
Mother Mary, which hits theaters in April 2026, follows a pop star (Hathaway) who, after abandoning her tour due to an existential crisis, seeks out an old friend and fashion designer, Sam (Coel), who helped craft her public persona.
Also starring in Mother Mary are Hunter Schafer, Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Alba Baptista, Sian Clifford and FKA twigs, who also provides new original music alongside Jack Antonoff and Charli xcx.
