At long last, A Quiet Place: Part III is happening.
It’s been five long years since A Quiet Place: Part II, which premiered days before the COVID-19 shutdown in March 2020 and became one of the first major blockbusters delayed by the pandemic, ultimately releasing in May 2021 as an early sign of the theatrical box-office recovery.
Now, John Krasinski is back in the director’s chair for the third film in the franchise, which is gearing up to shoot this spring.
Krasinski took to his personal IG to post a new photo of a set of scripts for A Quiet Place Part III, announcing the primary cast:
- Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later, Oppenheimer)
- Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place, Edge of Tomorrow)
- Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place, Wonderstruck)
- Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Honey Boy)
- Jack O’Connell (Sinners, Eden Lake, Unbroken)
- Katy O’Brian (Love Lies Bleeding, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania)
- Jason Clarke (Pet Sematary, Zero Dark Thirty)
After deadly creatures that hunt by sound overrun Earth, the Abbott family struggles to survive in silence while protecting their children and searching for a way to fight back in A Quiet Place. In A Quiet Place Part II, the surviving family ventures beyond their farm into a devastated world, discovering other survivors and a potential weakness in the creatures that could help humanity resist.
No story details have been revealed for Part III, but it’s exciting to see the initial cast returning alongside awesome new additions such as Sinners star Jack O’Connell and horror fav Jason Clarke.
A Quiet Place: Part III will be released in theaters on July 30, 2027.
