EXCLUSIVE: Our friends at Trick or Treat Studios went absolutely ballistic at this year’s New York Toy Fair, revealing dozens upon dozens of new masks, props, and action figures all based on your favorite horror properties.
The biggest standout was Trick or Treat Studios’ new “Leprechaun Ultimate Doll.” It’s easily one of the most striking collectibles I’ve seen in quite some time. The level of realism is remarkable, so much so that it almost blurs the line between prop and the real thing. Just take a look. And the only way to secure one will be through a Kickstarter pre-order launching tomorrow, St. Patrick’s Day.
Dread Central is excited to exclusively reveal that one of the perks will be an All-Gold Deluxe Leprechaun Action Figure, featuring Warwick Davis in all his glory from the 1992 cult classic! In fact, we hear fans can expect a special message from someone in the campaign. Wink wink.
The Kickstarter is going to have all kinds of perks, including an incredibly rare, one-of-a-kind version for the horror fan with a fat wallet and quick fingers. Just don’t get too greedy.
In addition, Dread has the first-ever photographs of the final, approved Leprechaun Ultimate Doll, which, again, goes on sale tomorrow here.
The Leprechaun Ultimate Doll stands approximately 30″ tall, the same scale as our previous Ultimate Chucky Doll and upcoming Trick ‘r Treat Ultimate Sam Doll.
Details:
- Screen-accurate sculpted head and hands
- Layered high-quality costume
- Flexible foam body with wire frame for posing
- Themed window box
- A large-scale that demands attention
The Leprechaun film series begins with Leprechaun (1993), in which a vengeful leprechaun hunts for his stolen gold, followed by (1994), where he seeks a bride in Los Angeles, and (1995), which takes place in Las Vegas as his gold brings misfortune to those who possess it. In (1996), the character travels to a futuristic setting involving a royal marriage, while (2000) and (2003) relocate the story to urban environments centered around the theft of his gold. The franchise was later revived with (2014), which reimagines the character in a rural setting, and (2018), a direct sequel to the 1993 film that follows a new group of characters confronting the creature.
