The early levels of Capcom’s Resident Evil: Requiem rank among the franchise’s most terrifying, dropping protagonist Grace into a powerless, pitch-black abandoned hospital armed with nothing but a lighter.
She must restore power by tracking down a tool, but to get it, she has to sneak past a towering, mutated infected girl that charges at the slightest sound. Just when it seems safe, the creature slips into the ceiling and delivers a brutal jump scare as she reaches for the fuse.
She’s not only horrific to look at, but she makes nauseating sounds as she stalks you around the hospital floor.
Delanie Nicole Gill, who brought the terrifying antagonist to life, appeared at a panel during MegaCon Orlando 2026 (uploaded by MiamiGameHunter and spotted by The Gamer and Games Radar), where she shared this stomach-turning detail about her performance:
“They wanted a very thick consistency to my spit, and they wanted gurgling and clicking and things like that,” she said. “We did two four-hour sessions, and I went through two jugs of milk around this big [roughly the size of a gallon] to thicken up my spit.”
She adds: “I had to lay a towel on my lap. Because of the way my mouth was arranged, my bottom lip was down, and it was just dripping in my lap.”
Resident Evil: Requiem is out now and is easily the game of the year. Have you played it yet? Thoughts?
