Get Out breakout Lil Rel Howery, Angela Sarafyan (Westworld), and Manny Montana (Good Girls) are set to appear in indie horror film The Things We Hide, co-directed and produced by Amir Noorani and Eric Bergemann, reports Variety.
The film centers on Naomi and Logan, a couple who retreat to a remote farmhouse after a psychological breakdown nearly destroys their marriage. According to the synopsis, “terrifying events begin blurring the line between trauma, paranoia, and the supernatural.”
“The Things We Hide is designed to feel layered, intimate and psychologically ambiguous,” said directors Noorani and Bergemann. “A story where every visual choice is intentional, constantly inviting audiences to question what is real, what is perceived and what may be influencing these characters.”
Italy’s Minerva Pictures has boarded the chiller and will launch world sales at the Cannes Market.
Atit Shah’s Create Entertainment (Monsoon, Forgive Don’t Forget) is lead-producing The Things We Hide. Principal photography has just kicked off in New York.
Monica Ciarli of Minerva described The Things We Hide as “a psychological thriller with all the ingredients to captivate international audiences: a gripping concept, a distinctive directorial vision, and an exceptional cast and creative team behind it.”
