Summer shark season is officially upon us, and IFC has just unveiled a bloody new poster for Chum, a survival thriller arriving in theaters June 5. The new one-sheet leans hard into classic killer shark imagery, featuring a massive open maw swallowing the title whole while drenched in crimson currents and Jaws-inspired chaos.
Chum stars Alice Eve (Haunting of the Queen Mary), Eric Michael Cole, Jim Klock, Elle Haymond, Lisa Yaro, Johnny Gaffney, and Sarah Siadat.
In the film, a newlywed couple joins friends on a Mediterranean yacht excursion, only to find themselves caught between a predatory shark and a psychopathic killer in their midst, transforming a sun-drenched escape into a fight for survival.
Chum is directed by Jonathan Zuck.
Additional plot details reveal the film takes place at a destination wedding in Malta, which ends in disaster as members of the party find themselves fighting off a shark and a sinister fisherman.
Between Dangerous Animals, White, and now Chum, shark horror is clearly circling theaters again in a big way this summer.
